July 14th, 2022 Part Two

July 14th, 2022 Part 2 is a series of photographs documenting the first phase of the Tapestry project, a few weeks after it began. The purpose of this series is to show the beginning stages of the project and be a point of reference as the space changes.

Lines of red and orange run through various images representing the boundaries set by the city of Hesperia to separate the land fortunate enough to exist outside of the area planned metallic compression. The entrance of the site has an abundance of informational signs along with large piles of construction materials, including silt socks, sandbags, and plastic piping. In the distance hidden behind the natural shrubbery of desert bushes and Joshua Trees is the flattened landscape of Tapestry.
