July 16th, 2022

This series of photographs is a continuation of the July 14th, 2022 Part 2 series. It also aims to be a point of reference as the space changes, however, there is documentation of the lost vegetation within the boundaries of the Tapestry project, along with photographs of the natural space adjacent to it.

The most significant part of this series is the photographs that show the vegetation that was removed for the purpose of development. The plants were placed on two large mounds, one of those that were freshly uprooted, and the other of those that were put through industrial wood chippers. These mounds held various plant life including alive and soon-to-be chipped Western Joshua Trees that were uprooted for disposal by the city of Hesperia to keep the Tapestry project developing at a steady pace.
